OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE TIME, TALENTS, TREASURE
Return of the Big Board
God is calling us, as individuals and as the church, into service once again. We should give thanks to God for all things, including the opportunity and resources to be able to serve our community. The sign-up board for MCREST is up and there is room on the board for you. A description of the various job assignments are with the board. The meal menu will be set in advance and food provided for those working in the kitchen, though dinner volunteers will be asked to provide dessert. MCREST week begins June 16th. A training session for volunteers will be held Sunday, June 16th, between services. Mark your calendar.
Newspaper Recycle Bin Destroyed by Fire
Our newspaper recycle bin has been carted off after a fire destroyed it. We have not been told when a new bin will be dropped off so we may continue to recycle our newspapers, magazines and junk mail. We’ll let you know when we receive a new recycle bin. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Garden Angels Needed: Sign Up Today
We have been blessed with a number of beautiful gardens around our church. Weeds find a way to grow in every plot. Garden Angels pull the weeds, plant annuals which the church buys, and pray over the perennials and annuals. Learn more about what Garden Angels do today between services at the table in the Narthex. Sign up, if you are so inclined, to care for a certain garden plot or to help with the general weeding.
Church Could Use Your Overgrown Perennials
Do you have perennials in your home garden that need thinning out? The church could use the perennials you thin out. Hostas are especially sought, and ground cover is not needed. Call the office to let us know when you’ll bring them. This will save the church from buying perennials. Thanks.
