Both of these youth groups meet on Sunday nights from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the church. We offer programs that deal with 3 main ideas: – Faith Development – we will be dealing with issue-oriented ideas. We will be discussing issues our youth are experiencing today and offer solutions to help them through. The Bible is a place we will focus on to help them along. – FUN! – We LOVE to have FUN! Each group will spend much of their time paying games, laughing and enjoying social interaction with both their peers and advisors. We have a schedule of high energy, interesting activities that will keep the youth engaged! – Fellowship – Youth groups offer kids a place that is safe where they can let their “guard” down and be themselves. Youth group is a place where kids can form lasting relationships that will keep them bonded together for their whole lives. We will also focus on service. Service projects will be determined as needs arise within our community and world. We will be designing the service projects to take the kids to places that will allow them to see the difference they are making, such as: Gleaners Food Banks, Macomb Food Program, soup kitchens just to name a few ideas. This year we have also added a new piece to our youths’ education. On Sunday mornings we also offer the youth in grades 6th – 12th grade an option of Faith Development on Sunday mornings. This program will be offered from 9:50 – 11:15 a.m. and will be available in the C.E. House. The curriculum will follow the curriculum of the Heroes of the Bible.
