Let It Shine Children's Worship Service

Beginning September 14th, First Presbyterian Church, in partnership with God, is pleased to present the Let it Shine Children’s Worship Service for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  The worship service will be held in lower level room B-05 each Sunday morning from 10:00 – 10:25 a.m.  Children will attend this service after the Sunday School held during Morning Glory Worship or before the Sunday School that meets during the Traditional Worship Service.

Intention of this opportunity:
The Let is Shine Children’s Worship is a time for children to come together and learn how to worship God.  By participating in their own worship service children will deepen their understanding and love for God.  Even their specially made, just for them pulpit, shows that God’s love shines no matter how big or how small.

How it works:
In a “learn by doing” approach, children will take turns rotating through all the different elements of the worship service.  The children will be gently led through these roles.  This experience will give them “hands on” awareness and understanding of the different elements involved in our church services.  The children will then be able to carry on their experience by helping up in the Sanctuary or at Morning Glory when the youth participate in those services.  The content for the weekly Let it Shine Children’s Worship Service will tie in and directly reflect what Pastor Peggy is sharing with the congregation on any given week.

Music will be provided by Sue Peters.
